I found a 1980s 15 hp evinrude on marketplace that was running that i agreed to pick up from a guy. I saw a video of the motor running, so meeting at the kroger parking lot want a big deal. I looked the motor over quick and it seemed ok. I took it home. I got the motor home and its not the same motor from the pictures. Same blue color. The fuel lines are different colors, the flywheel is gray instead of black and the prop is in much better shape. 100/100 compression. She starts and runs. I'm just so confused as to what happened. Weird for sure.

Not so wired these days.
A buddy of mine interviewed a girl for a front desk job not long ago. She was bright and friendly and got the job. After about two weeks he felt something was off and started doing a bit of digging. Turned out the girl that was working was the twin sister. šŸ˜‚

Iā€™m married to an identical twin. I could see where it would be a problem

looks like a lot of sand churning done with the prop....better check water pump, engine cooling etc...

my last 7.5hp Merc ($100) was a bit of a let down when I took it home and took a closer look ...

the tilt lock push lever was missing ( I guess I can carve one up this winter) ....
what I tought was just a "pull starter knock" has become a locked up engine...???? could still be the starter I guess like my nice 4hp I picked up for 75$ CDN

winter project work will determine the extent of the lock

it may turn out to my worst impulse buy .... but good experience for less than a golf game and a few packs of cigarettes

Water pump will 100% be replaced. I'm actually going to convert this to a long shaft. I was given a kit a while back, and found the motor and pounced on it.
