IMPROVEMENT?<br /><br />The church was giving a farewell party for its pastor.<br />One dear old lady wept continuously as she shook his hand. <br />"I'm so sorry to see you go," she sobbed. <br />"Now, now, don't cry," the pastor consoled her.<br />"The bishop will send you a much better pastor in my place." <br />At that, the woman wailed louder, "That's what they told me the last time!" <br />__________________________________________________<br /><br />NOW I SEE<br /><br />An optometrist was instructing a new employee on how to charge a customer. <br />"As you are fitting his glasses, if he asks how much they cost, you say '$75.' <br />If his eyes don't flutter, say, 'For the frames. The lenses will be $50.' <br />If his eyes still don't flutter, you add 'Each.'" :D <br />__________________________________________________<br /><br />BRICKLAYER'S ACCIDENT REPORT <br /><br />Possibly the funniest story in a while. <br />Where's his sign?<br /><br />Dear Sir: <br /><br />I am writing in response to your request for additional information in Block 3 of the accident report form. I put "poor planning" as the cause of my accident. You asked for a fuller explanation and I trust the following details will be sufficient. <br /><br />I am a bricklayer by trade. On the day of the accident, I was working alone on the roof of a new six story building. When I completed my work, I found that I had some bricks left over which, when weighed later were found to be slightly in excess of 500 lb. <br /><br />Rather than carry the bricks down by hand, I decided to lower them in a barrel by using a pulley, which was attached to the side of the building on the sixth floor. <br /><br />Securing the rope at ground level, I went up to the roof, swung the barrel out and loaded the bricks into it. Then I went down and untied the rope, holding it tightly to ensure a slow descent of the bricks. <br /><br />You will note in Block 11 of the accident report form that I weigh 175lbs. <br /><br />Due to my surprise at being jerked off the ground so suddenly, I lost my presence of mind and forgot to let go of the rope. Needless to say, I proceeded at a rapid rate up the side of the building. <br /><br />In the vicinity of the third floor, I met the barrel which was now proceeding downward at an equal, impressive speed. This explained the fractured skull, minor abrasions and the broken collar bone, as listed in section 3 of the accident report form. <br /><br />Slowed only slightly, I continued my rapid ascent, not stopping until the fingers of my right hand were two knuckles deep into the pulley. Fortunately by this time I had regained my presence of mind and was able to hold tightly to the op e, in spite of beginning to experience a great deal of pain. <br /><br />At approximately the same time, however, the barrel of bricks hit the ground and the bottom fell out of the barrel. Now devoid of the weight of the bricks, that barrel weighed approximately 50 lb.. I refer you again to my weight. <br /><br />As you can imagine, I began a rapid descent, down the side of the building. In the vicinity of the third floor, I met the barrel coming up. This accounts for the two fractured ankles, broken tooth and several lacerations of my legs and lower body. <br /><br />Here my luck began to change slightly. The encounter with the barrel seemed to slow me enough to lessen my injuries when I fell into the pile of bricks and fortunately only three vertebrae were cracked. <br /><br />I am sorry to report, however, as I lay there on the pile of bricks, in pain, unable to move, I again lost my composure and presence of mind and let go of the rope and I lay there watching the empty barrel begin its journey back down onto me. This explains the two broken legs. <br /><br />I hope this answers your inquiry."  :D

Re: Wednesday's Funnies

Boudreaux and Thibodeaux are off on their annual moose hunting trip. Both have paid to have a pilot fly them out over the Canadian wilderness to get the largest and meanest moose they can find. After a good day of hunting B. and T. are loading up the plane with moose meat and antlers. The pilot informs them they have overloaded the plane and must remove some of the weight. B. and T. both inform the pilot that they always load the plane with this much stuff and they will be fine.

They take off, but of course the overloaded plane crashed shortly after. The pilot pulls himself out of the wreckage and says "I knew I was right!! Do you have any idea where we are?"

Boudreaux looks and Thibodeaux and says "I know exactly where we are! This is the same place we crashed last time"

Boudreaux is working on a rig in the gulf when he tragically slips and falls to his death. One of the crew has to fly back in a chopper to tell Mrs. Boudreaux while the others will ride back on a supply boat. Every draws straws, and Thibodeaux comes up with the short straw, so he climbs in the helicopter and off he goes.

A couple hours later as the crewboat comes into port, Thibodeaux is sitting there drinking a 6-pack. All of the crew wants to know how he got a 6-pack, he replies with this story:

Once the helicopter landed, I made my way straight over to the Boudreaux residence. I knocked on the door and when the woman came to the door I asked is she was the "widow Boudreaux". She said that she was not a widow. My response was "Wanna bet a 6-pack"

It is a really sad day for the iboat community, but laugher has a miraculous power to fix just about any ailment. Sorry that we all have to go through this, my hearts and prayers are with all as we continue down this crazy road.
