Waterline issue and more

Hi everyone,
The painted waterline on my 14' centre console has worn off at the stern on both sides from fenders, rough landings etc. I was wondering what is the best way to fix it without repainting the whole thing. I need to know how to match the colour and apply the paint. It's only worn off in about a foot long area. As well, my boat has a couple chips on the back corner (I guess from people backing into dock corners etc.) Best way to fix this?

If I were you, I'd just repaint it. Spray it on with a cup gun. You could also use the roll and tip method but that takes quite a bit of skill but you should be able to learn from some of the guys here on iBoats. just my 2 cents. Good Luck Dude!;)

Wyder,

Welcome to iBoats. Are you talking about the boot stripe? Or the bottom paint? Or the gel coat?

Hello Wyder and welcome to Iboats..

There is no way to tell you how to match the color via simple over the web or even phone for that matter.

What kind of paint is it ? You may not be able to color match anyways depending.

I (for the time being) suggest prep and paint the whole stripe.

YD.

Ayuh,... You need Major repairs, not paint on the aft corners...

For the stripe, use vinyl tape...

This looks more like a glassfiber and top-coat job.
depending of how much of the fiber has been destroyed, you may get away by using a glass reinforced padding/marine filler and top coat.
