Water Leak

I was just running my motor with the muffs on and noticed a drip of water about every 5 seconds comming from the top spark plug hole area, what could this be? Head gasket, crack in the head? The motor is 2cly. yam. merc mariner. 675-308832 Thanks for any help in advance

Water jacket cover gasket is leaking. You can remove the plug and add some permatex or windshield sealant around the plug hole. I was given this advise, but choose to replace the gasket. I broke most of the bolts and had to take it to a machine shop to get them out. Next time I use a sealant.

Thanks for the tip using sealant, Didn,t know if that would work, sure beats breaking bolts I,ve done that also (what a mess) and thanks for the welcomed d
