water in fuel

hello everyone

i have a 1973 cobalt with 140 hp merc.
im getting water in the fuel. any ideas

Ayuh,.. It usually comes in with the Fuel, or through the Tank Vent....

check the o-ring on the fuel fill cap. If comprimised will allow rain water into tank

And try not to put the water in yourself by agressive application of the hose when washing down
