my boat sank i got it running.motor is fine. i syphoned fuel the tank because water got in there.i got most of it out.do i need to get every drop out and if so how do i do that?
Have you got a spin on type fuel filter attached to a bulkhead somewhere, if so that is a water seperator. You can put it anywhere it will fit, usually somewhere close to the tank on a bulkhead.
Why try to run the engine if there is any residual water left in the tank? Get a fuel/water separator kit and install it in your fuel line. Mercury makes a nice kit which includes the cast separator head which you can mount in the boat, two plugs and a filter: 802893A 4. About $45. You will need two brass hose barbs. Check it out on google.
