The battery compartment of my 1977 Glastron bass boat keeps filling with water. The live wells are dry as a bone. I just cant figure out where its coming from. Any ideas on where I might start to look?

being a 1977 fiberglass boat. start with weighing it.

my guess there is about 500-800# of water in the foam.

Fiberglass itself is not waterproof, only the gelcoat is. Look for any areas where the gelcoat is damaged, worn, chipped away, etc. Also leaks from covers or rain blowing in....chances are very good your wood structure inside the glass hull is rotted and soft from this water.
