i just bought a 1984 ev150vro
in going through the motor, changing water pump running and making sure everything is ok, its overheating and the horn sounds. Heads are uncomfortable hot i shut it down before damage was done. Im not a professional but not new at this by any means.
I traced everything down water flow from pump is aok going to the powerhead through the block to thermostats out of the heads down into the mid section. Now here is my question: how does thewarmed water get passed overboard???? i have everything apart. powerhead off, midsection completely torn down everything apart. I was hoping to find a blockage but did not. The only thing I found was that the heated overboard water goes directly into the midsection then how does it go overboard? The motor did not have a horshoe zinc on the midsection and i noticed upon running the motor warmed water was passwing up and out of the two bolt holes for the zinc. that hole cavity between the gearcase and midsecion fills with heated water that cant get out. Im stuck on this one. if you guys have any ideas id appreciate it.
