I have a mercury tracker 60hp.I'm getting a continuos alarm when i start it and it won't go off.peehole squirts.motor seems cool. water coming out of peehole is lukewarm.evrerything seems to be running okay.wuts up!!? jjbsalado@wmconnect.com
Sounds like it might be a false alarm, if you can find the OT sensor, remove the wire and check with an ohm meter to see if the sensor is shorted or there could be a chaffed wire shrting to ground which can cause this as well. If it's happening as soon as you start there is no way it can be a true overheat condition. Possibly even the warning module itself.
