I recently bought a 1983 "Hydra-Sports" bass boat (15ft.), with a Mercury 70 Outboard motor...Since the boat was made in 1983, I assume the motor is of that year too!
The cowl is black, two parts, that close in the front with a bracket...The bracket is broken (on the hinge side), and there is a large crack in the top of it. For now, there is a strap wrapped around it, that holds the two-halves together, and holds the bracket in place...While this "strap" is functional, it aint real pretty!
If there is anyone out there who knows where I can find a "replacement-cowl", I'd sure appreciate it!
