Re: Want to fish & play

Lots of good links and replies, and fast. Thank you all!

Problem with several is I'm looking for a fish & ski style, not a CC or walkaround. I've covered every possible match in about a 200 mile radius of CL and I think I have a good list to start reviewing tomorrow. I'll let you know if I have any questions once I get it thinned out to the finalists. Any responses to the boats I mentioned earlier would still be great, especially the Stratos - anyone have experience with their stuff or these Evinrudes in the 90s? Waiting on him to call back. Thanks.

Got another high on the list, a 93 SeaSwirl 192
http://richmond.craigslist.org/boa/1697049638.html

Of the 2, I'm leaning toward the Stratos. A few more bucks, but good shape (so far) and more features/space/power with less weight. Still waiting on a reply. Not sure, but the one above also seems more of a skiier than a fisher. Any experience or opions for either? Do you think the #s are fair (both seem close from what I can tell with my limited knowledge)?

Anyone know what the 96 Evinrude Vindicator 200 is worth?

SeaSwirl has a good reputation and you can't beat a 115 Johnson (though not exactly optimal power for that size boat). I don't like that is has bottom paint. For around $4k prolly a pretty decent buy.

For what? Are they made by the same people? Is it just a very similar boat to the SeaSwirl? Or is that a type you're recommending?

Anybody have an idea on how much to offer for the Stratos? Can't tell how much the engine is worth since it's not included with that model on NADA and I have no Engine model #.

You can get dual or center console.

A dual console (DC) was the suggestion

We own a KW 2020Dc and this type of boats will do exactly what you are looking for also...
