1.Can a person buy a boat like Carolina Skiff and have it with a walkthrough windshield instead of a center console or side console configuration?
2. Are there companies that will make a set up to go with a boat like the carolina skiff that will support a walk through windshield; I do not like
everyone getting wet when crossing a rough bay; the only one with windsheild protection is the boat driver.

1. That might be a question best answered by Carolina Skiff, or the builders of similar boats.

2. There are builders and custom remodelers that will convert a boat to any configuration you can dream up, it just takes money.

Sorry.. I dont understand the question. Are you asking IF there is a boat Like the C. Skiff that offers a walkthrough and/or Passenger console ? If so then Im sure there is a boat like that.

Again..the question is confusing .. Are you asking if a company makes a pre-fabbed add-on mod that will fit a boat configuration ? Or do you mean build a Custom mod for your boat ? I will make a custom build for anything ( might want to look for another boat when you see the price tag though ;) ).

I do not like

Do you have a C. Skiff ?

Can you post some some pics please so we can take a better look at what you have to work with ( It might be viable to make a dodger of some kind.. ).

Thanks for your reply...I do not have a carolina skiff but a friend has one and I have researched the models but have not asked anyone with the company if they can provide such a configuration. I will call them. I would like to know the builders and custom remodelers you are talking about though. If you know a name let me know. I live in the area of New Orleans. I recently retired and miss having the boat I once had many years ago that was a Sabre 17 footer with a walkthrough windshield; seems the predominant style today is the standing up driving type with the center console.

Re: Walk through windsheilds

Thanks for responding YD...I would like to know what company makes a boat like the carolina skiff that comes with a walkthrough windshield. I have found that LOWE and Crestliner make an aluminum one that comes in 16 to 18 foot size but have not seen a model that is fiberglass that comes with a walkthrough windshield. I do not own a carolina skiff but it seems to be a popular boat down her in the southern Louisiana area. Once owned a Sabre 17 footer with that configuration and am sorry to see that type of boat is hard to find today. I have seen a similar boat of the age of my Sabre called a Spartan. Guess they have just stoped making that kind and have gone mostly to center or side consoles.

Thanks for your reply...I know it must be expensive but I would like to investigate the cost because I have not had much luck in my southern area (Louisiana) finding boat dealers selling the walkthrough windshield types except Cabela's and a Crestliner dealer in upper louisiana

Re: Walk through windsheilds

I really dont know Who makes them .. its that Im sure someone does :) .

Im just thinking that Someone somewhere had to make a flats boat that had a dual seat console ( dunno about a walkthrough though on a flats boat though ).

Sorry my mistake .. I was going by your previous posts and thought you already had a boat that you wanted to modify.

Still.. looking into a Dodger of some kind might be a viable option to keep the others Dry in the face ;) .
