I was very impressed with Wally World's customer relations today. Let me explain:

Shortly after Thanksgiving, my wife bought a new GE electric roaster from the local store. We never opened the box until Christmas eve (about 9pm). All other roasters were full, and we needed the new electric roaster for the turkey. When we opened the box we found a USED roaster, complete with a water ring around the inside of the roaster pan and dried food on the outside! There were also stains in the pan! :|:|

We had no choice but to clean it (took about 45 minutes) and use it. Wife got online and reported the incident to Wally World. The next day we got an email that they received our complaint and were sorry and would get back with us in 4 days.

Today the local store called and apologized, told us to bring the roaster back and they would give us a new one AND refund our money! I explained that was not necessary, that it was clean now, and we were frustrated, but the box was sealed and it was not their fault, it was GE's fault.

Their reply, "Let us deal with GE, you bring the roaster back before 9 pm today, please." I took it back and they replace the roaster with a new one, and gave us a gift card for the amount of the roaster plus tax! They went above and beyond the call of duty. I am impressed!

Re: Wal-Mart Customer Service

Geez! And to think all I got was the right size blue deck shoes when I took the ones back that my kids gave me for Christmas with no tags and no reciept. I'm a happy camper too. :D
