I had my pivot housing removes when I removed mine but I think you may be able to access it from underneath with the trim extended and the drive up. Remember to put some underwater grease on the threads of the new one to make it easier to remove next time.

I just used a hammer with the pivot housing on the boat. Clean the square recessed area on the housing and grease with triple guard grease, or equivalent, so it comes out more easily next time.
