So my fuel pump off my Volvo Penta Gi-F 5.7 has failed again. I have pulled it apart removed all the paint off the inside of where the fuel flows and hoping this will prevent future issues. I paid nearly $900 dollars just couple years ago only to get the same paint issue when I purchased the entire pump as a whole. So my question is what are some good aftermarket high and low pressure fuel pumps I can install back in the housing. The reviews are so drastic both ways and pricing is all over the place with going from $40-$179 its tough to tell which one to go with. Volvo OEM are trash and overpriced. Anyone have any luck with a certain brand?
Thanks

I have read many good things about the $200 pumps on Amazon or Ebay. For the cost savings you could buy several for the price of OEM. Make sure you cross reference the exact unit part number when ordering Aftermarket to ensure the correct model. I refurbished mine several years ago and have had no problems with it, I am surprised that yours are failing so frequently.

Just search the VP forums. I posted the Carter pump numbers a few weeks ago
