Say, Bob.

He was accused. He had his day in court and 12 peers found him NOT GUILTY.

What do you KNOW that wasn't presented in court?

Or do you just WANT him punished because he doesn't fit your model?

I'm with JB on this one. From everthing I heard about this trial, they didn't put a solid case against Mr. Jackson, poked holes in almost all the testimony against him. Call it what you want, his atty's did a better job than the state.
Kinda goes back to the theory, those who can't teach or work for the govn't, same with atty's. Every atty I've come across are better than any city or county atty. I'm sure there are some exceptions, but in most cases I believe this is the situation.
Ya, I think he is weird, did he moleste these kids? maybe, but where the hell were the parents?
Just my thoughts, don't really know any facts about the case, but must not have been many that held up.
Spud

I agree with Ryan, JB and Spud here...the prosecutions case was not well assembled. They didn't do a good job of proving Michael was guilty, where as the defense did a great job proving that the kid and his family were guilty of "begging" for things from these stars.

I just hope and pray if he IS guilty, he doesn't do it again...

Re: Verdict in on M Jackson

What is the last celebrity that was convicted of a real crime. Mike Tyson doesn't count, he is so stupid he was convicted on something he probably didn't do. Our society reveres celebrity and who pays the price is irrelavent to the 15 minutes of fame they recieve. Puke.

He of course provided alcohol to minors, illegal, no doubt. Do not pass go, go directly to jail. Jacksons fingerprints and the childrens fingerprints were identified on porn. Giving porn to minors is illegal. Go to jail. This jury only deliberated 32hrs total before giving this sick sob a pass. That is like two hours per charge if you include the lesser inclusive charges. It takes a group of twelve 20 minutes just to organize a vote. Add in lunches and dinners and there was little or no debate. Sick.

I hope their children are the next of the list to be molested. (Figure of speech) Wonder how they would react to that? My guess they would like it if they could get an autograph. What is wrong with these people? I can only conclude the system is broke. I will assure you that if anyone on this forum decided that sleeping with little boys, with porn in the same room, while serving them alcohol, and had the stones to defended it as totally natural, we would be looking through bars right now.

Justice for sale............

the only person who deserves to be in jail is the kid's mother, for even putting her son in a position like that.

jackson was tried and found not guilty. end of story. being or celebrity had nothing to do with the verdict. and race doesn't even present itself.

JB yes, I agree with your statements...

I guess I do hold a slight bit of predudice (not racial) for people who do not fit the mold.

Bob

Can't Wait for the MJ tour this Fall. Going to be called the "Got Away With It" Tour. Maybe he will recruit a few catholic priests with similar passions, and luck to promote it. EeeeHeee, the little POS

Yes, I had (and have) my doubts, but they are reasonable doubts.

I think our system aspires to presumption of innocence unless proved guilty beyond that reasonable doubt.

I think the system worked.

I just want to add something here for all those that feel Freak J is innocent. Most of the Jurors agree that MJ did have SICK relations with "little" boys, but they could not see enough proof in this case. Our justice system needs an overhaul, if your poor and act like MJ your sick, nasty, and/or weird and they throw away the key. If your rich and famous you are eccentric and you get a whole different set of rules{laws}. This case was just another show on TV but the real shame is that there was NO justice done and sooner or later this sick piece of trash will strike again. Public embarassment does not cure a child abuser, jail time, mental help or a bullet in the head would help.

Celebrities simply get the sweet end of the stick. Had this been any of us, and I am sure none of us would go there, the verdict would be GUILTY. But we can't sing and dance, or make tabloid headlines. NEVERLAND......Sure...Never????

OJ, Robert Blake, and Michael Jackson: All staring in the "We're Free Tour" Opening this summer at a venue near you. What’s wrong with this picture?

You cant hang a guy because you feel he's guilty of a crime but have no evidence to back it up. You have a jury of 12 people who see both sides of the story fully they made a decision all 12 are not blind , deaf or dumb they must have had a reason to find him not guilty.

I watched each day another American trial on Louise Woodward and when you start seeing some of the so called evidence that proved she did it any sane person would laugh it out of court.

Some guilty people get away with it but its not just celebritys , it cops , the general public , but you have to prove somebody did it.

I dont care anymore get the idiot of the news and charge the mother with being stupid surely nobody else will ever let their kid near him.

Re: Verdict in on M Jackson

In my opinion, this kind of the case is mostly based on anecdotal testimony and the prosecution failed to provide believable witnesses... Almost every "damaging" witness was carrying additional personal baggage that put their testimony into question in the jury's eyes - axes to grind... Especially the mother - She should have never been called by the prosecution...

Right or wrong, that's the sad truth of this kind of criminal prosecution... Its all about marketing because there is very little hard evidence...

The Jury is bound by the court to render a verdict on the merits of the case before them, not previous accusations... The sad truth is that the previous accusations were probably the true molestation cases and the ones that could have been prosecuted successfully, except for the fact that they were bought off...

This particular case was weak from the beginning... Bad prosecution lost this case and probably stopped any possibility of a future prosecution - this case was under the spotlight and with a full aquital it will be almost impossible to bring a successful future case regardless of the merits of it.

If Jackson is guilty then the prosecution fell short this time, not the jurers.

Rest assured, where there is smoke there is fire ...

...proving who set it is not always an easy thing to do.

In fairness to the system:
Mike Tyson....Guilty, or was he just too cheap to retain a great team. I suspect his failure to pay the young lady who accused him got him into that mess. Mike can't sing or dance worth a poop. Can't box either.
