V6 150 HP Tach signal

Can anyone tell me what frequency to expect for the signal going to the tachometer? Is 1:1 ratio?

The older v6's, either 16 amp or 40 amp, have 12 pole alternators in them. That would be 6 cycles per rotation, or 100cps at 1000 rpm. (100hz at 1000 rpm)
