Im restoring 1993 Bayliner Capri and the US Marine Speedometer trim crimp ring, about 3" wide is all chewed up and in the latest stage of deterioration. I believe that speedometer gauge is 2.75" diameter. I tried to find something similar on ebay or amazon, but cannot find anything that even resembles it. Any ideas or suggestions as to where should I look for it? Will attach the picture later.

Will do so sir, I just wonder if the trim crimping ring could be purchased separately at any store online or boat parts. Will have to check all boat parts stores in Phoenix area. Also I thought that maybe I was not looking for the right part name...

I will try to say this without getting into trouble. The brand name boat you have has a Forum that has a classified section. Might check there.

trim rings (bezel) are part of the gauge assembly. not sold separately. bayliner paid less than $5 for the gauge back in 1993. there was no incentive for them to have the bezel as a replacement part. you could sent it in to a gauge repair shop who may be able to modify a bezel that they have, however for a bayliner, I would simply get a complete gauge or set of gauges off of ebay as it will be much cheaper

I tried to get to the back of the gauges but this design of the shelf under the dash board does not allow me to get there. It is so tight that i can barely put my hand in to get to the holding bolts. I tried to make a picture but it was still too tight. Will try to reach it with the better light.
