OK, so I was athinkin...

There are a lot of projects out there that go unfinished. And, there are a lot of our Starcraft bros who we really don't see anymore.

Man I miss em and I really wish I knew how their project turned out! Ya know what I mean?

So anyway...

Post up the project that you really wish you would have been able to see finished. No, not one that is in progress with a really slow builder! But, one that just kinda left ya hanging ya know?

I'll start...

Here is one that I really liked...

I'm like I better not see my boat on there. I'm working on it....kinda. I pulled the dashboards two weeks ago so I could finish sand and epoxy them in the shop. CheapboatKev is my montor, no need to overwork anyone here.:p

That would be me! :redface::redface::redface::D:D

Jason doesn't mean that instance. If he did I would be in the top running.
I miss a lot of guys too. And it pi#$% me off that they ran into trouble or just did not have the ambition. Myself for example, had job, family, and laziness step in. I had to get on the I Boats forum and see what Jason, Azlo, EZ, CBK,NB, and many, many others were doing to get me off my arse. Believe me guys, you are ALL an inspiration, whether you believe it or not. Even the smallest idea or work will help someone. Yes, Jason, I miss a lot 'o guys. But I thank God for the ones that stay and post.

We are all here to help & share. Thats all. But the Brotherhood will stick with us forever.

What did I do or not do. I had a complete set of rebuild photos on the other site and some d--- fool changed it and lost the photos. I have changed computers so will have to connect it to the old computer and transfer the photos I saved . It erases them from my disc so I have none at this moment. And I am not to bright on how the dang things work. But I will repost as soon as I figure it out. Pugetsound

Howdy y'all -

I hope you all know I'm just taking the winter off - we're down to only two or three feet of snow left on the ground here so I'll be back at it soon.

The beauty of this project is that I know all I have to do for motivation is come back here and read up on everyone else's projects and suddenly I won't be able to stop thinking about my own and I'll be back in action.

My next stop is Jason's thread, I don't think I've seen it in a couple months and seeing as you started this thread, I'm guessing you're still active on your old tub.

Re: Unfinished business....

Watching you guys on this thread is like watching a small herd of cats bat around a soda bottle top! You guys crack me up!

I was just thinking about some of these old boats and what in the world happened to them, ya know?

I especially like the big ones. Like this...

...and this...

http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=395429&highlight=chieftain

I know horsecapades boat went to a really great new home and it sounded like they were going to do a full on restoration. Man, I'd love to see that rig finished.

Bunch of others too...

Hey EZ, you know what timfives is up to these days? I suspect he'll get back on it when the weather turns huh.

http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=359551

I kinda figured my Islander bro PR was in hibernation mode since his rig was all wrapped up tight for the winter. I really needed that so I could at least partially catch up to him. I think if I had two more months of good working time I might just get to even with yah PR!

Anyway, I kinda like to look back at some of these projects - just wonder what happens to em, eh!:)

He did get his boat on the water and I believe actually took it all the up to the finger lakes for a week of vacation. He travels a TON for his job. Like, as in, travels WAY more than I would be willing to do even if they paid me obscene amounts of money.

I miss this one...

I also wish that Bond-O would finally post a thread with some photos of this customized Islander that we all keep hearing about but never have seen. I think he's just making up stuff as he goes along:p:D

Re: Unfinished business....

B-A-D case of cabin fever here. I think I've ordered about everything I'll need to "finish", if that ever happens with these projects. Well, that killed a couple days. Last package expected today, then I'll have to think of something else to do on it. Yesterday I even resorted to going out and wading through 2 feet of snowbank to knock all the snow off, just so I would think spring was closer!

Pathetic when you consider this progress:

Re: Unfinished business....

OK, now i feel better. looks like most everyone has been stalled due to the weather. we actually saw 3 above zero here and icicles all along the garage roof; nothing to you maso, er guys who voluntarily live in the trackless wastes, but pretty wild here on the southern border. combined with a big trial, i haven't touched the 'chief since early December but we're hoping to get cranking on it this weekend.

with wife's help, we did get the donorboat finally 100% gutted and hauled it to the landfill so i don't have to see that ugly little POF* blocking the view of the Noble Tin. FYI, the plan of backing up fast and then hitting brakes to move donorboat off its trailer was a waste of time; a five-spot in the palm of the guy with the giant scoop loader worked much better. amazing how often the most effective tool for whatever job has pix of dead presidents on it........... ;-)
