Two piece exhaust bellow?

Hey guys my buddy just bought a stingray 19 ft. with a 3.0 and an alpha one gen 2 drive.

When we picked it up last Sunday I checked it over and noticed it had a 2 piece exhaust bellow. I had never seen one before so I asked about it. He said they recently replaced it and this would work better than the one piece by putting less strain on it.

Question is how well do these really work? Has anyone here used these before?

Had some water in boat after taking it out so could it be from this or coming in from somewhere else?

Thanks for any help and advice you can give me!

Tried to attach pics but keeps telling me the size exceeds the limit so maybe later.

Exhaust bellows will not cause water to enter the boat. You can have no exhaust bellows and you won't get any water in your boat. The shift bellows and u-joint bellows however can sink your boat.
I'd like to see a picture of that though.

Thanks FreeBee Tony, that's exactly what it looks like.

Pros or cons? Anyone had any experience with these?

The P.O installed them on mine. I don't think there's much difference between them and bellows, except that the tubes last longer and look to be a heckuva lot easier to change. I just did the whole bellows, water tube, shift cable replacement on both my drives and was very happy that I didn't need to do anything at all with the tubes.

I use it and it's much easier to replace if needed.
It also makes the "bellows" job that much easier!
The only con I have heard is it's a little louder than if you were to have a regular exhaust bellows.

Thanks guys for the responses.

You're right FreeBee Tony. Took the boat out this weekend and worked just fine. It's definitely louder but doesn't sound bad. Friend said it sounded like a V-8 going down the water.

cdiamond I definitely noticed that too and is getting replaced next week. the guy had the exhaust tube put in last year, why they didn't fix that as well is beyond me.
