I bought a 13.3 Boston Whaler at the end of last season with a 40 HP evinrude. The guy I got it from used to tow water skiiers with it back in the 70/80's before he stopped using it. I have it all rebuilt and ready to go, and it clocks in around 40-42 MPH all timed and at full bore. I'd like to get a tube to pull some people around with at our lake, but I'm not sure of the capabilites of only 40hp. Preferably I'd like to get a 2 man tube, but I don't want to dog the thing and really lug the engine (not good for the engine or the enjoyment factor
). Any suggestions of what I should look for? Should I adjust the engine pitch higher or lower to compensate for a towing load?
Thanks
