trouble with 70 hp johnson

I have a 1999 70 hp johnson that when i go to take off it bogs out. Have to choke it to get it going. It takes a few tries before it will go, please help

You should do a compression test.

I had that same issue before I rebuilt the fuel pump, Im no mechanic but that alleviated my bogging and cut out issue. I thought it was the primer bulb, which helped keep the boat going but it was the diaphragm in the VRO fuel pump that was bad.
