trim sender question

I have a 1987 2150 bayliner ciera sunbridge with a cobra outdrive. It has the trim sender on the transom bracket but no gauge or light in the dash, is that common on these models??

I have the same one on my '88 Capri 1950.
And i dont have a gauge or light either.

I think its a sort of trim limit sender !

Very common, as Bilgeliner was too cheap to include a trim gauge, might have added $.50 (OMG!) to the build cost...Cobras don't use a trim limit switch
