1989 four winns 210. 5.7 mercruiser. had some engine work and when the boat came back the trim was not working. when i hit the switch i hear a click but no movement in the outdrive, no whinning of the trim motor.
I've got the same exact situation on my '88 Liberator 201. I'm looking into it now, but if you find out something first, lemme know. As soon as I know something, I'll post it.
Same thing happened to me, thought it was corroded connections on relay/fuse box (mounted on the trim hydraulics)... tapping the box actually got it going, assuming the relays are getting stuck, might open the sealed unit to fix
OK. I went through all connections, etc. Long story short......bad pump. I replaced it and everything is fine now. If yours only clicks going up AND down (no pump whining), that could be your issue as well.
