I usually wrap it around (from where you have it) twice. Push the end of the rope through the loop and around the hook, wont come of when it gets slack picking up the skiier/boarder.Interesting, that is the only type of hook on my boat. But thanks for the loop info.
for towing a tube, they make a bridle that goes between the two rear transom tie down points. much stronger that way than the ski hook.
