I am brand new to site. This is my first post. have followed several threads however over the last several months.I have learned much. Thank you all. I am replacing transom in old tri-hull, No fiberglass experience. just old hack. I have been reading ebbtide tri hull restoration thread..2007. he used 2 pieces 3/4 ACX...polyester resin. Is it necessary to use cloth or mat as opposed to just thickened resin when laminating the 2 boards together...or is a waterproof glue and screws just as good. If mat is used ...what kind. then when I attach transom to outer skin (from inside)...what is good procedure?...assume a mat or cloth is used between transom and hull ..what kind?..just slather up both sides and clamp?..lay the cloth on board first..or hull first?..that sort of stuff. . well...first post..so see what happens. thanks. and my boat is ....not pretty
