Trailer trim switch

I have a 1996 Four Winns 240 horizon with volvo drive.
My trim switch is on the shift lever an there is a Trailer trim switch on the
side panel next to the shift switch.
The Trim switch on the handle moves the drive all the way up and the trailer
switch does not work. One of the previous owners did not want the trailer
switch to work.
I have looked at the diagrams and cant fined what they did.
Any Ideas on how they disconnected the Trailer trim switch.
Thanks

Re: Trailer trim switch

That trailer switch should have wires coming off of it running back to the trim/tilt module/relays, Start at the switch and trace the wires back, im betting they just unplugged the switch / taped it off.

Re: Trailer trim switch

Not sure the 1996 Volvos had the trim module yet. It may be possible that the previous owner replaced the shifter with a version that had both sets of switches but is only useing the one switch.

What model Volvo do you have? Is it an "MD", "HU", "NC" or "LK" ?
