Re: Towing with a Dodge Caravan 3.3L

Bought a new minivan 2 weeks ago (Toyota Sienna) and one of the models I researched was the Chrysler T&C. I did a lot (I mean lots & lots) of reading on owners' forums and what I learned is that there don't seem to be any complaints about the Chrysler trannies after the 2000 model year (at least not significantly more than other manufacturers), implication being that maybe they finally got it right. I found that 2000 & earlier the consensus is they are all containers of excrement.

What I'm saying is that if you guys have early-model Dodge Caravan experience it might not be representative of the current state of affairs. Other hand if it's late-model then that's a whole nother story!

Agree with jtexas we had a '89 voyager with the a604 tranny had one replaced at 55k miles had another one put in at 96k and an engine at 93k.

Will never own another chrysler product again.

This same vehicle went through 2 sets of heads @ 40k and 85k. I should have gotten rid of it before I put any more money into it. :(
