if you have to ask about fuel economy in a boat or towing it, you really do not want to know the answer.

my dodge 1500 with a 318 small block 5.2 engine, best i have ever got was 15.5 down hill with a tail wind. pulling my 22 ft sea ray probely 8 to 9 mpg , i always kick out the over drive when pulling a heavy trailer

the set up in my sig line, about 7k lbs, 15 mpg @ 68-70 mph. 24-25 HWY truck only

I get around 100+ mpgs going downhill only :) mpgs with truck = bad, towing boat = even worse.

After owing the ecoboost for my needs the Diesel is out especially considering the cost of Diesel vs Gas, the extra fuel filters etc. I can't believe how well the ecoboost tows the boat. The WD hitch makes it even better.

I drive about 40k miles per year (without the boat) so while fuel is more, it evens out with the mpg increase. Towing the boat is a bonus.

When I took her up to DC at 65 I was averging 23 according to the computer, combined commuting to work and what not I am about 18
