<br /><br />My take on it...since that boat has a long trailer, what happens when he tries to load at low tide and the trailer axles are off the end of the ramp and the Toureg is sitting in the ramp slime. No amount of 4wd is going to help you out in that situation. You'll need a full size 4x4 Truck with a long wheelbase so at least one set of tires is on firm dry ground. Add I'm not sure if the VW has a low range or is it only AWD. That would make matters even worse.<br /><br />Nav <br />PS: I was a VW diesel owner and they make excellent vehicles. I would buy one again in a heartbeat.

Realgun,<br />You're comparing Apples,+ Oranges............<br /><br />A Tractor(of a Tractor/Trailer) is Supposed to carry 50%/60% of the Load..........<br />Unlike a Truck/Trailer, which more resembles the typical boat trailer rig, Should be loaded to a 10%/15% tongue weight......<br /><br />Now, I can tell you from Experience, That loading Either combination to the Load Ratio of the Other combination, <br />Can get you Killed, Very Easily......<br /><br />I Still say that photo is an Accident looking for a place to Happen...................<br /><br />The Tail WILL Wag the Dog.............
