Anyone have any idea on the torque spec for this bolt with oring? VP manual says 26-30 ft for oil filter adapter fitting but that may be the main adapter in the block not sure?

Thanks

Main oil filter adapter uses 5/16" bolts however 26-30 lb/ft sounds a bit much for that application. Iirc the spec for those bolts is around 10-15 lb/ft. The adapter is aluminum so no need to get crazy tight as damage may occur

The remote adapter pictured takes the place of a spin on oil filter which most manufacturers recommend a torque of 1/4 - 1/2 turn past seal just touching. Hand tight seems to do the trick most times

I would use 26-30 lb/ft for the remote adapter pictured then monitor the install/recheck torque after the first and few subsequent loaded runs

Fwiw I can't recall ever using a torque wrench when reinstalling an adapter and have yet to see a failure as a result, ymmv
