I wouldnt sell as you will never be able to buy another one. Can you run it for a while as a renter or vacation home, you might even be entitled to a bit of tax relief. Eventually your sister is going to want spit out a few kids and at that point she is the one who is going to want to sell her share to you.

i don't think she wants kids...maybe but idk.

i've been thinking about the renting a room out or something. i'm hesitant but if push comes to shove....so be it.

unless you're talking about renting to a buddy, i doubt you'll find many quality tenants willing to split the house with your sister and her bf. and, as a land owner, i'm sure you'd never invite a stranger to move in without a lease.

i may have missed this chapter but how did a minor inherit a house jointly with an adult?...i'm assuming your sister is an adult. i could be wrong.

maybe i'm off base...do minors commonly own land? tax issues, various contracts that need to be entered for services or contractors, etc. seems like you need a representative.
