Re: Tires?

It depends on what you need. Small, low weight capacity tire and wheel assemblies are available at WalMart, Tractor Supply Company, and similar stores.

I got mine at an RV dealer.

I got mine from the neighbors trailer......shhhhhhh:D

Ok no I didn't, it depends on what you need and where you live, if you live in a remote area then you may actually get a better deal having some shipped to you. It's all relative to supply and demand and geography.

If you need them tomorrow and you live in the Yukon territory then you can expect to pay more, if you live near a major metro area then you can shop around.

Re: Tires?

Try Google or some other search engine.
Typically you can purchase trail tires, wheels, and the like at places like Northern Tool (MN), Fleet Farm and similar stores, and many tire retailers will be able to help you get them- they can be ordered if not in stock.
Wouldn't hurt to do a search on web based sellers either. If for some reason you can't locate a retailer in your area, consider ordering off the web.
You can always take tire and wheel assemblies to a service station and pay them a few bucks to mount the tires.

Yeah right.

I'm looking for new tires too and can't find what I want locally. So, exploring online for tires only or already mounted.

Finding out its cheaper to get tires already mounted on new wheels. My local repairshop that works on all of my cars charges $19 + tax to dismount / mount a new tire on my old wheel. That's 80 bucks for a set for my tandem trailer!

One tire store here charges $25 per tire, another charges $10 per tire, if I'm gonna pay it will be the $10 place.

I think many tire shops are penalizing customers that do not buy the tires from them.
And have a lower rate to change tires around if they were bought there.
