Woke up this morning to around a foot of new snow overnight. Not looking forward to heading out the door.

Took this snapshot with my security cam...

I'm really really going to be ready for some warm spring sun and time on the water.

If you get much more snow before Spring, you're going to need serious snow removal equipment to unbury the tinnies.

Yep, winter has finally arrived here too. Still 30+/- highs and lows, so it is still a bit warm for winter here but it 'feels' like winter now instead of an extended fall.

Snow predicted for tomorrow though. Supposed to start 2hr before the Admirals appt to re-xray her fibula and determine surgery or just a new cast

Bound to happen sooner or later, I prefer a less lengthy winter but not much a guy can do about it. Got a couple more inches today before it stopped, More of the same for tomorrow they say...

Hope all goes well for the admirals appt and a nice easy drive in the first snow of the season, I know how people can get on the roads.

Thanks Rob

3 rollovers overnight  and a few solo and multi car fender benders too.

Her appt went about as expected. 2 more weeks in a new no weight bearing cast, probably a 3rd cast at her next appt, then another 2wks w no weight. In 30 days, maybe a walking boot. UK blue cast came off today, went w TCU purple for this one.

Barely flurries all day.

Ya'll be careful in the new snow, too.

No more cold weather here until October! Supposed to be 80 tomorrow so the admiral and I are taking the Chief to the Columbia river to launch and drive several miles to a lakeside restaurant with a dock to have lunch. It's sort of become our first outing of the season ritual. Doesn't seem like it's been that long but this will be the 3rd season since the restore.

So today we spent a few hours cleaning and de-winterizing. A couple pumps of the throttle and she fired right off purring like a kitten.
I ran her up to operating temp and used my IR gun to shoot temps, A OK. Checked for water leaks and buttoned her up. All ready now just praying for no wind...:pray2:

I can't wait!

No fishing from my Chief, she's a cruiser and I don't have the stress of trying to catch fish. I have a fishing boat and working on another at the moment so I don't miss out on the fun of fishing when I fell like going out.

I can't get over how good your Chief looks. Even after three seasons she's still looks like you just finished restoring her. Between your Chief, Dozzers Holiday, and Hayku's SS Starcraft is well represented by class and style. Hope you and the Admiral have a great rest of the weekend.

Rob,
I think that Chief gets prettier every time I see her. Should have so good weather this week :rain:(no rain) and since I need to do the casting outside for ventilation purposes. I hope to have some pics of a finished product this week. Thanks again for the assistance.:thumb:

Thanks a bunch, I still stand and stare at her, these boats have awesome lines. It would be great to have all 3 SOTY winner SC's out on a lake together, SS, Holly and Chief would be super cool!

We're lucky to have this big river and the dams to make it usable. I'm up near Grand Coulee Dam and looking forward to exploring Lake Roosevelt one of these days, 100+ miles of water!

What a way to start the season.
Looks fun and relaxing.

You know it!

Thanks Dan. Hey you're welcome, that's what being a part of the iboats forum and the Starmada is all about. I've met 3 iboat forum members in person so far and I have to say we're some top notch people here! :thumb:

Your Chief is still looking great! An inspiration to all of us. :eagerness:

I fished Roosevelt lake once when I was living in Spokane. Be careful there... lots of partially sunken deadhead logs which bob up and down vertically, often unseen and can punch a hole in the bottom of your boat! :faint2:

Yeah I didn't want to go home today... got up to 82... water was great although there was some debris floating but that's common this time of year in a river.

Man, Rob - You boat on the smoothest water. If the Chief's bow wasn't in the pic. I would say the camera was upside down! :D

You sort of feel like the Lewis and Clark party is going to show up on the bank just ahead. Nice picture.
