Timing off on my 1972 65hp johnson

When i try to advance throttle engine stalls. I think timing is off as in auto . am i right and if so how do you adjust timeing. ?

give me some history, is this motor new to you, what maint, has been done or none. has it been sitting up for a period of time. what have you check to make you think timing is off. waiting reply.
