Timing Light ?

I need to buy a timing light & tach . I have a 2007 5.0L Mercruiser 8 cyl. I want to do periodic check ups to keep in shape. What would you suggest I buy?

I use a MATCO inductive timing light/tach/advance timing...it is awesome.

Snap-on also makes a great one...but you will pay dearly for the name!

Then any timing light will work. and any inductive shop tack. They don't have to be expensive. But if you don't know how to use them, then it doesn't matter.

My good snap one one crapped out and I bought an Innova and so far its great.
But I hardly ever use a timing light with an advance built in unless there's something serious going on.
99% of the time I use my ES120 outboard timing light for everything. (www.esitest.com) It's good light but it could be brighter.
