I have a 1978 Merc 80 hp that had a manual lift for tilt trim like a bottle jack, didnt like it. Had a 60 hp Johnson with a nice tilt and tim pump and cylinders. Fabricated some brackets to attach everything and it raises and lowers just fine. BUT!!!! When I try to trim the motor up it will not raise the motor. The port side cylinder has one oil line and an electical connection on it, what is this for? The starboard cylinder is the one doing all the work and has two oil lines. Any help on the wire and why it might not be lifting going 35mph.
