Tilt/trim go's down but not up?

On a Rude 1984 90 horse. I had to use the release screw to lock it up today.
Any thoughts?? Thanks!!

can you tell if there is power going to the pump when you try to put the motor up? It may be a bad rocker switch.

No not really, It makes the pump whirring sound going down, but nothing coming up, the rocker switch DOES stick and you have to be careful or the switch might stay in the up or down position, that could have happened?

I'm not sure if you can just take the switch out and clean/oil it or not. Probably needs replacing. However, I,m just guessing here.

Have you swapped the 2 relays to see if it now goes up but not down?
