I walked outside and heard my tilt motor whining on my 48 SPL. I ran over and unhooked the battery. This happened a couple years ago and I replaced the tilt switch on the control.box handle. Any idea what is going on?

Tilt switches are often the toggle kind that you use your thumb to work them. If they get water in them, the "Up" circuit can be completed with the switch in the off position. See if you can blow water out of them.

If that is not it, look for rubbing wires in the control handle.
