Throttle Hesitation

It's me again - with the 88' Johnson 20hp. If you read my post from this morning you'll remember that I'm the moron who decided to leave out crucial parts of the carb during my rebuild. That's all taken care of and it idles great and throttling up (not too much as it's not in the water) it seems to be running pretty well. Now my latest problem is that when I twist the throttle it seems there's a 1, 2 or 3 second delay before it revs up. I'm guessing it might have something to do with the timing?

Thanks

Re: Throttle Hesitation

If your timing was off by 1,2,or 3 seconds do you think it would run fine? NO
You probably didn't do anything to disturb the timing anyhow.

You need to go back and make sure the carb and linkage was put back right.

May need to do a link n sync. I'm not sure of the procedure for your motor, but it's in your manual.
