Threaded Post Came off With Spin On Fuel Filter

2010, 3.0 MPI. I removed the spin on water separator/filter and the center threaded post came off with the filter. It's threaded in the housing,smaller thread,& had some sealant on it. So do I put some type of sealant on the threads(Permatex red thread lock or Form-A-Gasket 1) and screw it back in , carefully tighten, or replace the housing ??

I'd be sure to let the loctite set up before putting any fuel to it.

Thanks all will do.. Also have a square extractor to grab the inside of it to tighten..
