1st I would really like to apologize to everyone here on the forum. As some may already know I seriously hurt my back the other day and have sense been on some very strong pain and muscle relaxers along with some valium. Because of this at times it's made it very hard to type even simple words as the brain and fingers do not want to work together.

Another side effect is that at times I have small fits of rage and lash out where I normally wouldn't. Even the wife has noticed this new behaivor. To the point I quit taking the valium. Tired of feeling like a drunken sailor on a Saturday night.

So once again I hope everyone accepts my deepest apology. If I insult someone by accedent I will allow you to kick me later after my back feels better!

diazepam (valium) can produce rage etc in the elderly or children mostly but not just to them.not common but not unheard of .you did the right thing by stopping the drug.talk to your doc.

Yes, please get better soon. I haven't noticed anything unusual in your posts, but what do I know- I'm a boat owner. Unusual is the norm.

That's some nasty stuff. Older brother's a phycologist and he warned me about coming off this stuff. Can cause real anger management issues and fits of rage. GREAT!!!

Been there Bonz and it's all OK. Broke my back in '86 and still have no recollection of the things that I was told I said and did when on some heavy meds. No matter which of us you insulted, your buying the next round. Feel better soon.

Re: Thread posts here on the forums

Got back from seeing a back surgeon this afternoon and was told all the MRI's looked pretty normal, there is some good swelling in the lower back and onlt time will heal that. He sais there is one small cyst from a previous injury and a bit of degenerative bone loss which is normal for aperson my age. But all-in-all he said everything looks pretty good so I am very hopeful.

Not sure how long I can affford to be of work because the cheap hole I work for offers no short term disablity. Long term means your fired and when you are heathly enough to come back to woprk we will rehire you at starting wages!

Re: Thread posts here on the forums

Well folks it just got better!
Found out late yesterday that I'd been terminated because for one the Quake doctor that had me on narcotic pain killers said I could feturn to work with no work restrictions and that the FMLA paperwork wasn't retunned on time even though I was still rtying to determine
which doctor was supposed to fill it out. Not to mention that the MRI the hospital did came back showing an aneurysm which wasn't there. It was actually the aortic graft that was placed long ago.
