I found this forum a little late. I have a 24' Thompson hard top that I gutted and already have stringers beded with epoxy and wood flour but then I glassed them in with one layer of 12oz.biax tape 6" with out fillets. What should I do besides any more grinding.
I started out with the concept of leaving one inch troughs left over from old stringers , clean out and rough up w/ 40 grit ,wipe .Well did that and didnt like it cause I couldnt tell where I was lacking peanutbutter so I ground out the troughs squeezed in some spots I missed with thick pb
Thinking of adding another layer of cloth so I ask:
Should I add fillets?
What should I use to lay up with ( I have some 17oz. cloth)
