I have a 96 25hp Merc. The impeller seems to be working just fine......plenty
of water is pumping out the side just fine.......but the water thats coming out is extremely HOT.....and it gets thst way in short order.Leading me to believe that maybe the thermostat needs to be replaced. Any thoughts?
Why do I even need a thermostat anyways.......wouldnt it be better to have
cool water running thru it all the time? Could I run it without one?
Is there any other problem here that I may be overlooking that would cause
this overheated water?
The cooling system dosent look to overly complicated from what I've seen
by looking at the schematics......but then again I'm not a mechanic.....which is why I'm asking for help. Thanks
