Thermostat T stat Location

where is my tstat located. peeps have told me, im just not seeing it... 1975 Evinrude 50 HP 2 stroke. where is it located it at>? any pics? anything?

it is covered by the water jacket, an the very bottom of the cylinder head. a pita to change. do poppet valves also.

thanks, looks like a pita... everyones telling me to put a pressure gauge on it. how do I go about that>?

a pressure gauge, or tale tell, is not going to tell you the motor is cooling. it will tell you that the impeller is pumping. but not that the tstat are opening and cooling the engine.
