Yuk....I send my condolences to you and his family.

I hate hearing stories about people younger than me dieing from heart attacks. I went through a period in my 40's when I was losing friend after friend to heart failure. I went to 2 funerals in one month...........argh!!
The life style, smokes, booze and not enough down time from the career were more important than good diet etc.

But for some reason I made it until I turned 55, then...BANG!!! It took a heart attack and quadruple bypass surgery to smarten me up.

Now, I don't smoke, get about 9 hours of sleep every day, eat a better diet and for other reasons (back), I had to retire, but I still have the odd cocktail....
I'm a boater...

I hope the young girl doesn't have any long term issues with this, that would be just awful.

Having a daughter myself, who is an only child, I really feel for his 4 year old. As someone mentioned, I hope she eventually never remembers that day..... Tough stuff........

Very unexpected news there. I hope his family is coping well and I wish them the best.

I was chattering back-forth with him on a thread a week ago, seemed like a nice guy, hard to believe he's gone.

This kind of brings things into perspective for me as I go out with my kids solo all the time. I couldn't imagine how my kids would handle it if something happened.

R.I.P. That is a sad and eye opening story. Our prayers go out for his little girl and the rest of his family.
