Watermann , The guy at the boat ramp made it worth all the blood, sweat, and tears... Plus kinda puts the Final stamp on "My work here is done". Then a fishing trip with your buds... Doesn't get much better!!!!!! :encouragement: Also well done on the fish!

Thanks for dropping in and encouragement, it's appreciated!

So the "Alaskan" LW parts are all in. Even though the LW did work fine, I had to just adjust the spray nozzle to where the aerator pump wasn't wide open so it had a chance to drain. Now I have the overflow all in place though so there isn't an issue of the well being too full even with the nozzle spraying full open. I opted for a fitting that was well rounded even though it's above the waterline it should allow for a glancing blow without breaking.

You guys and the need for speed  the lake I went to yesterday was electric only no internal combustion engines can be ran. I gave the new Terrova a workout and it never went below 75% charge on the 24v set up with the gp27 batterys. The Noco dual bank 20amp charger went to a green light in under 2 hours.

Lots of room even with grumpy Yarney and resto buddy in the back... yeah a selfie stick I borrowed from the admiral :D

Too funny you guys kill me.:pound: I fished from the SN yesterday at a panfish lake and stuffed the wells with bluegill and crappie. Looking forward to getting back in the SS this morning and go for some more smallmouth bass.

Oh yeah I have some fish pics alright, thought maybe you guys were getting bored of them not being the SS speeding across the open water. ;)

If you're wondering about the other guy ole Yarney, well his fish normally go in the well so fast you can't ever get a pic of them. So this is a rare one of him with a fish and his teeth aren't sunk in it.

For anyone wondering about the livewell setup, I have it down now with the drain line out the transom that attaches at the bottom thru hull fitting and the overflow drain at the top of the well goes out the side of the hull. Works flawlessly. You can even pull out the drain plug in the bottom hole and put the standpipe in for even more overflow protection like when pan fishing, I've had perch stick their head in the overflow hole before and stop it up, they can't do that to the standpipe with the screen over it.

Inside the lid you can see an addition I made, it's a SS 18" ruler for measuring fish before dropping in the well. Around here we have a bunch of size limits. A slot for largemouth bass, everything between 12 and 17" has to be thrown back. Smallmouth bass, you can only keep 1 fish over 14". Walleye in some bodies have to be over 16" with only 1 fish over 24". Crazy regs to remember.

Here's a closer look, it's attached with SS screws.

What did you use for sealant between the livewell and the floor? I dunno if I should use the stick on foam stuff or a silicone on mine? Obviously want it to last a long time.. Like the idea of the ruler on the inside. Looks nice! Also, if you did use the stick on foam what thickness did you use? And where did you get it?!? Ive looked at west marine and lowes, places like that but not entirely sure whats best or what to look for..

And since Im on it.. what sealant did you use between your SW and transom? My old setup had a really thin gasket type material behind it and the PO put silicone on top

The livewell hatch and insert that is the well are 2 pieces and the actual seal is between the hatch frame and the lip of the well not the deck. I used none other than 5200 to seal the deal and with all the fittings too.

My V5 SW is not like other SS models, it's a solid one piece design that has an integrated transom cap into the SW so there is no exposed wood and no seam between the SW and the transom.

Glad you got that sorted out. It looks great and I like the addition of the ruler. I find it's those little things that complete the whole package and make it so much better than factory built.👍

Pb and j, I used 5200 on my ss between the sw and transom. I also have an aluminum skin like you. Sorry for the hijack Rob.

Hey no jacking to worry over it's all good. ;)

I only use 5200 to seal things up in my boats. Buy it by the construction tube here at iboats since no stores carry it in my clearing in the sticks.

Ok, I would have used the 5200 but you already gave me flak about using so much on the transom already 🤣 And I bought some on sale at a store close by. Ill have to check it out online for my next build.
