The special toolbox drawer

How many of you have more than a few of these in your tool box drawers. It can be a trip down memory lane remembering for what vehicle each one was for. Picture is not my stuff but have a lot similar including home made sockets made from 2 1/2" pipe for nuts on floating axles.

Bingo. except my GM distributor wrench was a dog bone that i sawed the end off and welded it back on at a 90 deg angle. And the piece of an Allen wrench soldered to a piece of throttle cable housing with a homemade handle to set dwell. Wonder how many people still alive today own two dwell meters.

I have a sacrificial wrench box that I get from garage sales. I'm not cutting up mp my good wrenches!

When I retired as a toolmaker after 50 years, I had a couple drawers of speciality tools. Gave a few to the young apprentices after showing them what they were used for....

Still making special tools. Turned down a thin wall socket at work today
