HELLO ALL,
I have a AQ 260 VOLVO with the closed cooling system.
What is the proper heat range themostat to use in salt water.
Can I use an automotive type or does it have to be marine?

Fresh/salt water shouldn't make any diff. Generally a 140* t-stat, but check the manual for the AQ260. Downloadable from a link in the adults only section.
