Sweet looking Sea Nymph, nice work. Didn't know they manufactured them up to 1998. What type of water will you be running in?

Hey man, check this out
attachment.php

listed as 0.100 , thicker than most starcrafts at .080

I regret passing up a cheap 1984 CC191 last fall and I've been a little obsessed ever since. If you ever need someone to take a ride ill buy gas!

I ended up with an 18' starcraft this past march.
I'm also in CT, I fish reefs out of branford to clinton.

Hey CTSWF, thanks much for that info - just what I was looking for. I'm docked in Westbrook so send me an email at randl@takeyourbase.org and we can try and rig up some fishing. How did you find that old Sea Nymph CC 191 advertisement ?

I will be taking it out in lake Michigan soon to some salmon fishing. Have had it out in some smaller lakes so far. I think 1998 was the last year they were made.

I have had to re-plan the acquisition of the Sea Nymph. The current owner has had to fly out of state due to a family emergency. Hopefully, around the first of August we will try again to meet up. I hate to admit it, but now I feel like that kid waiting for Christmas.

Re: The Official Sea Nymph Forum for seanymph Boat Owners

Hi - new to this forum. I'm contemplating an older Sea Nymph owned by the same people for the past 17 years. It's a 16' Fishing Machine with 50 HP Mariner. Actually, I'll post the ad below. Looking for thoughts - I've owned several boats and currently have 14' Lund with 9.9 hp 4-stroke. We bought it and are looking at this because we go out to Oregon coast to salmon/steelhead fish the rivers and go out in the bays crabbing. The Lund does alright, but I don't like taking extra people along, and of course everybody wants to go. Boat would also be used in western MT here on Flathead Lake and wherever else, but main purpose of boat is to go out to coast. Everybody on the coast is telling me to go with a Smokercraft Alaskan which I would consider, except far and few between. However the same could be said for this FM160 - it's the only one I found on CL within 400 miles. Looking for opinions from those who have owned - I am going to go look at this boat tomorrow.

Looks like a nice solid SN to me from the pics but a good first hand look over is the only way to tell for sure. Just keep in mind that being an 84 if she hasn't had the deck, interior, seats and most likely the transom replaced then they are asking way too much in my opinion. If she has been restored with some craftsmanship then the price is fair. Almost everyone says their boat has been stored indoors and is in great shape then you show up for a look and see everything inside is 30 years old and if you buy then your on borrowed time before the boat needs restored.

I would also comment on the owners choice of shoreline to beach his boat. I normally try to avoid rock piles.

Boat, trailer and motor were all in immaculate condition. Original carpet and not peeling back anywhere, no holes, no wear spots - nothing. Seats had no rips, tears, nor were they even faded. Motor will be further tested today, but fired up in garbage can, and idled smoothly and at full throttle. Transom in excellent condition as was the entire hull. Galvenized trailer with new tires. Even the cover looked like new. After a bit of negotiating on price, it followed me home.

Re: The Official Sea Nymph Forum for seanymph Boat Owners

I have a 1978 Sea Nymph that has been storred for 20 years. Its a model 16 R with the steering option. The steering cable needs to be replaced. Does anyone know who manufactured the steering systems for these boats in 1978?

Thanks

I just joined this site, and saw your question. Since it's been a couple of years, since you posted, you have probably found your steering cable, but if not, There is a Marine place in Dothan, Alabama, that sells boats and parts, they found our steering cable for our 1982 Sea Nymph, in just a little while, it took them a few weeks to get it to us, cause it came from somewhere in the Northwest I believe. At that time it was $125.00, don't know what they are today. The place is right on Highway 231 going toward Georgia, but I can't think of the full name for it. Hope this helps.

The moon and stars finally aligned and I picked up the 19.5 GLS this past weekend. This deal had been pending for 6 months as the PO had many family issues requiring out of state trips. Pictures will follow as I "discover" the boats wants and needs.

Congrats on your SeaNymph acquisitions. I have had mine, 1989 GLS 195, for a year now and find it to be a very comfortable boat and very transportable. I live in SE Pa and trailer it to the lower Delaware Bay and to Lake Ontario.

It has a 60 mariner engine...will be restoring...any info on the boat would be great. I got it for $500. I will be posting in the restoration forum as I progress.

Re: The Official Sea Nymph Forum for seanymph Boat Owners

Hello all,
I recently bought a 1985 16 1/2 foot Sea Nymph Fishing Machine. I'm getting conflicting information on the company and parent companies. The previous owner(s) had it registered as a SeaArk manufactured boat, but I believe SeaArk only came into existance in 1988. I wrote to Sea Ark and they suggested the boat was from the MonArk Boat Company which the family originally established in 1958 and sold to Brunswick. Other spots on the internet say Sea Nymph (a separate company) was established in 1946 and bought out by Lowe in either 1971 or 1999. Can anyone set me straight? Where would my 1985 boat fit in? Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.

Hello! My name is Ed And I thought it would be cool to start a Thread for people who own sea nymph boats here on Iboats.com . Here you can post up what kind of seanymph you own or owned. You Can post pictures, Ask questions about your sea nymph or other seanymph boats . You can also post up pictures of any old broshures of any and all sea nymph boats and models that you may have lieing around. Anything seanymph here goes and is allowed! :D

Hi Ed-Hoping someone can help me out. I have 1992 175 Nyphm and I ripped one of the rear corner pieces off and having a tough time finding a replacement.
